This is the third book on this topic I bought. This one is great! My homemade lures actually catch fish now. The projects, while not exactly easy to complete, are clearly described and illustrated that I was (finally) able to get some nice plugs completed. The mystery of waterproofing, weighting and balance that eluded me from reading previous books, was revealed in these pages. Tips about using quality wood and techniques for spray painting were quite helpful. I even made a few extra for friends that were very interested in my lures.

All-in-all a very good book for anyone who wants to make wooden lures. I found this book very helpful in making my own lures, as it offers a different approach than I currently use. The techniques used do not require the use of expensive equipment or materials. The instructions and photos are clear and follow a well thought out step by step method. The book covers a nice selection of lure types to choose from. I have made many wooden lures and would recommend this book to others.
